Travel is a huge part of my identity and at first, I wasn’t sure if I should include it as part of my website since I considered keeping it professional. However, I’ve decided to keep it: I’ve taken two big trips (2.5 months in 2016 & 3 months in 2017), primarily as a solo female traveler in Eastern Europe, and those experiences have built and helped define the person that I am today. I was mostly sharing my travels through Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook to my audience of friends and family, but have taken steps in 2020 to share with a larger, more public audience.
On September 8, 2020, I presented to The Nomadic Network on “Building Self-Confidence Through Solo Travel.” I had a goal of getting 100 registrations and at least 50 attendees (since that was the average attendance rate). I was surprised that I received 212 registrations in the end and had 121 attendees show up! This was my first ever public presentation and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to share my story and inspire others. You can watch the replay here.
